FOOD SHARE
RURAL FOOD SHARE
Rural Food Share grew out of an informal network of food sharing that emerged in The Trust’s drop-in space. Community members, faith groups, businesses, and organizations donate dried, canned, fresh and frozen food at our location, creating a pantry that is accessed by many people in our community. This is a low barrier program and is often an entrance into other engagement opportunities, programs and supports.
We welcome donations of non-perishable food items and fresh produce - thank you!
THE GOOD FOOD BOX
Through our partnership with the Community Development Council of Quinte, we host a depot for their Good Food Box (GFB) Program. The GFB Program provides fresh, healthy and nutritious fruits and vegetables to hundreds of individuals and families each year throughout North Hastings, Hastings, as well as Prince Edward County. The GFB helps families stretch their food dollars, reduce their food costs, and meet the nutritional needs for themselves and family members.
